CLEANING WATER TANK

1. Open cover 10 to reach the water tank, remove plug 17, pull out the two suction tubes and
drain any water from the tank.
2. Extract the tank 10 from the machine and wash under running water.
3. Dry the sides of the tank well with a cloth and replace in the machine.
4. Insert the two tubes in the tank.
5. Fill the tank, replace the plug and close the cover of the machine.
IMPORTANT
• Never use detergents or abrasive products to clean the water tank.
• Never wash the water tank in a dishwasher.

DESCALING

IMPORTANT
• The formation of limescale is a natural consequence of heating the water, and
therefore of using the machine.
• The coffee machine is fitted with a water softener 12 connected to the white suc-
tion tube fitted inside the water tank 10. After approximately 50 capsules have
been used, the resins inside the water softener will have lost their strength and will
need to be replaced.
• Replace the water softener and connect it to the white tube, as shown in figure 7.
• After connecting the new water softener, remove the capsule in the dispensing
group using the tool 13.
• Then press either of the two coffee dispensing keys (4-5). In these conditions, the
water dispensed by the pump will bathe the resins of the water softener and will
be carried to drawer 11. The water must be left running for at least 20 seconds.
• If the water softener is not replaced as described, the limescale may cause oper-
ating defects and/or damage not covered by the warranty.
