Hair texture
light, blonde, bleached, dyed

thick, curly, difficult to straighten
• Start with the lowest temperature that is recommended
for the hair texture to be treated.
• Increase the temperature in small steps if the straighten-
ing process is taking too long.
• NOTE on permanent straightening: please take note
of the temperature recommendations and the product
information on the hair care products used.
3.6 General straightening
1. Switch on the appliance.
2. Wash and dry hair and comb well.
3. Start with the lowest temperature that is recommended
for the hair texture to be treated (see table in chap-
ter 3.5).

7. Straighten all of the hair in this way, strand by strand.
8. Switch off the appliance and let it cool down.
9. Allow the hair to briefly cool before you treat it further
e.g. with styling or hair care products.
4. Separate one strand of hair and
comb until smooth. (The thinner
the strand, the more intensive the
styling.)
5. Place the strand between the
heated plates, starting at the roots.
6. Now slide the flat iron evenly from
the roots to the tips of the hair. Do
not stay in one spot for too long.
Ensure that you keep a sufficient
distance from the scalp!
