carefully before using the tool.
SAFETY PRECAUTION FOR USING THE COMPRESSOR
Important information:
Most accidents resulting from operating or maintaining the compressor are caused by failing to correct-
ly observe the basic safety rules and precautions. An accident can often be avoided by identifying a
potentially dangerous situation before it arises by observing the correct safety precautions.
The basic safety precautions are described in the "SAFETY" section of these Operating Instructions
and in the sections containing the operating and maintenance instructions.
The hazards that must be avoided in order to avoid bodily injury and damage to the equipment are iden-
tified with WARNING on the compressor and in the Operating Instructions.
Never use this compressor in a way that has not been specifically recommended by the manufacturer,
unless you have first confirmed that the anticipated use poses no risks whatsoever to you and other
persons in the proximity of the device.
Improper or unsafe use of the compressor may result in risk of death or serious bodily injury.
To avoid these risks, carefully follow the basic safety precautions.
Improper use may result in serious accidents.
1. Never touch moving parts.
Never place hands, fingers or another body part close to the compressor's moving parts.
2. Never activate this machine without the protective guards in place.
Never activate the compressor if the protective guards or safety features are not in place or not in good
working order. If maintenance or servicing work requires that a protective guard or safety feature is
removed, ensure the protective guard or safety feature is correctly fitted before resuming operation of
the compressor.
3. Always wear eye protection.
Always wear safety goggles or equivalent eye protection. Compressed air must never be directed
towards any part of the operator's body.
4. Protect against electrical shocks.
Avoid touching earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ovens and refrigeration units with body parts.
Never activate the compressor in damp or humid conditions.
5. Disconnect the compressor.
Always disconnect the compressor at the power source and remove the compressed air from the air
chamber before any maintenance, inspection, servicing or cleaning work or when replacing or check-
ing any parts.
6. Avoid accidental start-ups.
Do not transport the compressor while it is connected to the power source or when the air chamber is
filled with compressed air. Ensure that the pressure switch is in the "OFF" position (deactivated) before
connecting the compressor to its power supply.
7. Store the compressor correctly.
When the compressor is not being used, it must be stored in a completely dry area. Keep out of reach
of children. Block access to the warehousing area.
