3.5 Personal qualification
3.5.1 Improper qualification
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper per-
sonal qualification!
The owner/operator is responsible
for providing the proper qualifica-
tion.
− Do not have persons do any work
unless they are properly qualified.
− In case of doubt, instruct personnel
to leave the hazard zone and work
area.
– Interrupt your work while improperly
qualified persons are in the area of
work.
3.5.2 Personal requirements
Admit persons only if they be expected to
carry out their work reliably. Do not admit
persons whose responsiveness is influ-
enced by drugs, alcohol, medication or other
means.
Persons lacking experience and/or know-
ledge may not operate the unit unless su-
pervised by an expert or previously instruc-
ted in the safe use of the unit and the haz-
ards that may be caused by it.

Lethal risk due to improper per-
sonal qualification!
Work on motor vehicles may only be
carried out by trained specialists.
The local accident prevention regulations
and generally accepted safety codes apply!

4 Installation/putting into service
4.1 Before use
WARNING
Ear damage by noise!
The noise level near the unit may
cause serious ear damage.
- Wear ear protection while near the
unit.
CAUTION
Risk of injury by sharp corners or
edges!
Working on the compressed air angle
grinder may expose sharp corners or
edges potentially causing injuries
such as cuts, abrasions or punctures.
- Wear the required personal protect-
ive equipment for activities.
• Do not exceed the permissible maximum
pressure (8 bar).
• The owner/operator provides a com-
pressed air installation of the required
ratings appropriate for the actual use
cases and designs the laying of hoses
etc. such that stumbling points are
avoided.
• Check that the quick-release coupling
features a check valve. If no such valve
is available, a line pressure relief device
must be provided before the quick-re-
lease coupling is disconnected.
1. Stop the compressed air supply before
lubricating, connecting or disconnecting
the unit.
2. Remove the dust cap from the air-in
port.
3. Tool lubrication, see Lubricating the
unit [} 24]. Lubricate the unit every
day if it is used frequently or if its oper-
ating speed slows down or if it performs
less well.
