Cisco
Most Cisco access points come with a mounting bracket or DIM rail. Holes are already available in
the vertical mounting bracket to accommodate most Cisco mounts. If a hole is not available, place
the Cisco mounting bracket on the Oberon mounting plate and mark the location of the mounting
holes Drill holes of the proper diameter for required screws. Some Cisco mounting brackets also
have pole mounting options which can be used in place of the vertical bracket if desired. Attach the
mounting plate and then attach the Cisco access point per manufacturers instructions. Reference
the mounting hole legend on last page of this document. Connect data and power cables as re-
quired.

Aruba
Most Aruba access points are to be mounted horizontally. To mount Aruba access points in the 3036
bollard, use the Aruba "H2" mounting bracket purchased from Aruba The right angle mounting brack-
et has hole locations available to mount the H2 bracket. First attach the H2 bracket to the right angle
bracket then attach the Aruba access point to the Aruba mounting plate following manufacturer's
directions.
For Aruba access points that are to be installed vertically, the Aruba "H2" mounting bracket is re-
quired. Attach the H2 bracket using the two obround holes in the center of the H2 bracket and the two
obround holes in the center of the vertical mounting bracket. Connect data and power cables as re-
quired.

For other manufacturers access points, determine the correct mounting method, based on the
manufacturer's instructions. The Oberon right angle or vertical brackets have many mounting options
or can be modified as needed. Many manufacturers have pole mounting options available to mount
directly to the pole.

Once the access point has been installed and the cabling connected, the next step is to attach the
bollard tube. Verify the lock is in the "unlocked position. Lift the bollard tube over the previously in-
stalled bollard base/access point assembly and carefully lower. The bollard tube assembly has a
locking bayonet mount. The bollard tube is pre-assembled with the mating bayonet assembly. To re
-assemble the bollard tube, align the large openings of the key hole slots with the shoulder bolts of
the anchor base (Ref top image). For ease of alignment the 4 bolts on the bollard tube (number "1"
in bottom image) will be aligned with the 4 notches in the anchor base (number "2" in bottom image).
The bolts in the bollard tube can be rotated to mate with any of the notches in the anchor base.
CAUTION: The bollard tube assembly is heavy and requires two people to lift.
