General Safety Instructions
Read this chapter carefully. Accurate knowledge of the dangerous situations described during the
operation of the machine and of the instructions for proper use is indispensable to avoid injury to
people and animals, as well as damage to property.
IMPORTANT: This wood splitter is used exclusively for cutting logs, whose dimensions must
correspond to the recommendations given in this document. Any other use will be considered
inappropriate, and the manufacturer will not be liable for injuries resulting from people or animals,
as well as for any property damage resulting from improper use of this machine. The user must
be within the specified work area and must use both hands to operate the control device. Under
no circumstances should the user use any other system. Any other person or animal, with the
exception of the user, must maintain a safety distance of at least 5 m around this cracker while it
is in use. Check the terrain you plan to work on for stability and a firm grip. This log splitter can
only be used with its protection mechanisms properly installed. If the instructions given in this
chapter are not taken into account, serious personal injury or damage to property or machinery
may occur.
1. Only one person can work with this machine.
2. No one can use this log splitter without first reading its User Guide or having received
instructions on the rules for the proper and safe use of the machine.
3. The operator must be at least 18 years old. Students with a minimum age of
16 years can only work on this machine under supervision.
4. Never wear jewelry (rings, necklaces, watches, etc.) or wide clothing such as gloves or
oversized shoes, as these could get caught by moving parts. Specific protective clothing such as
safety shoes and special gloves are mandatory.
Always use a hair net if you have it long.
5. Always wear safety glasses. Keep in mind that regular glasses do not offer sufficient protection
as they can even cause more serious injuries as a result of glass breakage.
6. Always use this log splitter on dry, level and unfrozen ground. If you use this log mower
outdoors on the lawn, make sure the grass has been mowed.
7. Make sure you have a good position to keep your balance. Never lean on your log splitter.
Make sure the log splitter is firmly placed on the ground so that it cannot fall. This can prevent
serious injuries.
8. Stay far enough away from the blade to avoid injury caused by splinters.
9. Keep other people away. Any other person, child or animal, with the exception of the user, must
maintain a safety distance of 5 m around this log splitter while in use.
10. Be sure to remove foreign bodies from the trunk you want to crack to prevent them from falling
off during operation and causing damage to this machine.
11. Never scrape logs containing nails, cables or dangerous foreign substances. Make sure that
always the two ends of the trunk you are processing are cut as square as possible. This is the
only way to ensure that the trunk is not forced out of its upright position, while the branches must
have been cut flush.
12. Never attempt to crack a log, the dimensions of which are larger than those specified in "Size
of logs". Otherwise, the result will be injury or irreparable damage to the machine.
13. Remove the trunks lengthwise. Never place a log transversely to crack it in this way. This
could lead to injury and damage to the machine.
14. Never place logs to process several at the same time. Parts of the wood could be thrown into
the air and hit you.
15. ONLY use your hands to operate the levers. Never use your feet, knees, rope, or similar
means to operate levers. Continuously focus on the movements of the cutting blade. Never
attempt to load the log splitter while its blade is in motion. Do not place your hands near the
moving parts of this machine.
16. Protect your hands. Never bring your hands close to openings in the trunk, as they can
instantly close and crush or even cut off your hands. Do not remove stuck parts of a log with your
hands. When the blade of the log splitter returns, keep your hands off the machine, as this
machine has been designed to stop automatically once the cylinder has fully retracted.
17. Do not force this log cracker under full load for more than 5 seconds by holding down the
cylinder, for example, or if you want to crack a rigid log. This would result in rapid overheating of
the pressurized oil, causing serious damage to the machine. It is advisable to rotate the trunk 90
