• Sliding horizontal guide for planing overlaps of
0-1 mm
• Lateral fence for work to be done on the edge

5. CUTTING CONTROL
Cutting depth
Turning knob C (Fig. 2) clockwise regulates cu
tting. The knob's locking screws enable planing
width adjustment to be carried out in 0.2-mm
steps. Maximum cutting depth is 4 mm.
Planing of rebates and overlaps
Rebate depth is set by means of the parallel shoe
D (Fig. 2). The shoe is placed at the desired
height by simultaneously pressing and turning
the knob E. When the knob is released the shoe
remains fixed in the desired position. Maximum
rebate depth is 25 mm.
The planer PL824V enables one to plane over-
laps (Fig. 3), thanks to its sliding guide F (Fig. 3).
This permits cutting from 0-1 mm by means of
the regulation of the screw G (Fig. 3, 4). Always
remember to have a good support for the planer
base.

Lateral fence
The lateral fence H (Fig. 2) enables you to posi-
tion the planer for work to be done on the side of
the workpiece. To attach it, push lever I (Fig. 2)
and slide the square by means of the hole J (Fig.
4) to the desired measurement. When the lever I
is released, the parallel square will remain locked
in this position. If need be, a more precise regu-
lation can be obtained using the bracket K (Fig.
2).
