Supervisory Override
Supervisory Override allows a supervisor to interrupt an ongoing talkgroup call and immediately start a
supervisory call. A supervisor is configured on the WAVE PTX Portal by selecting and configuring a user as a
supervisor within a talkgroup.
When Supervisory Override is initiated, the top crescent green LED blinks twice continuously on the receiving
device until the supervisory call ends.
Any talkgroup call in progress may be interrupted by a supervisor. When the call is taken over by the
supervisor, the receiving and transmitting devices unmutes automatically to the supervisory call with receiving
call LED notification.
If a designated supervisor presses the PTT button while receiving a talkgroup call, the talkgroup call is
overridden by a supervisory call.
When you are receiving a talkgroup call and a supervisory call is initiated, your device unmutes to the
supervisory call and continues receiving the talkgroup call from the supervisor.
When you are transmitting in a talkgroup call and a supervisory call is initiated, your device unmutes to the
supervisory call and displays the receiving call LED notification.
