gine,pushand hoJd switch in the STOP
position until e nginecomesto a com-
pletestop. Makesureenginestops;
thenrestart e ngineand continue.
• FuelTank- Do notuse unitif fueltank
showssignsofdamage or leaks.
• OptionalVacuumBag - Do not use
vacuumbag if it istom or damaged.

• Clean the coverand the area around
it to keep debrisfrom falling intothe
carburetor chamberwhen the cover
is removed.
• Remove partsas illustrated.
• Wash the filter in soap and water,
• Allowfilter to dry.
• Replace parts.
REPLACE SPARK PLUG
Replacespark plugeach year to en-
sure the engine startseasier and runs
better,Set spark plug gap at .025 in.
Ignitiontimingisfixed, nonadjustable.
• Twist,then pull offspark plugboot.
• Removespark plug from cylinderand
discard.
• Replace withChampionRCJ-SY
spark plugand tightenwith a 3/4 in.
socketwrench(10-12 ft,-Ibs).
• Reinstallthe spark plugboot.
REPLACE FUEL FILTER
To replacefuel filter,drain unitby run-
ningit dry of fuel, then removefuel cap/
retainerassemblyfromtank. Pullfilter
from tank and remove itfrom the fuel
line. Installnew fuel filteron fuel line;
reinstallpads.
