■
Use the snow blower sideways across the face of slopes; never up and down. Exercise
extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
■
Do not operate the machine on or near drop-offs, ditches, or embankments.
■
Never operate the snow blower with a defective auger housing or scraper bar in place.
■
Never operate the snow blower near glass enclosures, automobiles, window wells,
etc. without proper adjustment of the snow discharge angle.
■
Do not overload the machine capacity by attempting to clear snow at too fast a rate.
■
Never operate the machine at high transport speeds on slippery surfaces. Use care
when reversing or pulling the machine towards you.
■
Never direct discharge at bystanders or allow anyone in front of the unit.
■
Disengage power to the auger when the snow blower is transported or not in use.
■
Use only attachments and accessories approved by the snow blower manufacturer
(such as wheel weights, counterweights, cabs, etc.).

■
Hand contact with the rotating auger assembly inside the discharge chute is the most
common cause of injury associated with snow blowers. Never use your hand to clean
out the discharge chute.
■
To clear the chute:
1. Shut the motor off
2. Wait 10 seconds to be sure the auger assembly blades have stopped rotating.
3. Always use a non-metal tool, not your hands.
1.4 BATTERY USE AND CARE
■
Check that the power switch is off before inserting the battery pack. Your battery pack
should always be removed, and your cordless tool stored securely with the power switch
off between each use.
■
Power your snow blower with the Green Machine
■
Recharge only with the Green Machine
the equipment.
■
Take special care in storing your battery pack. Keeping your batteries away from other
metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects
will ensure safe storage.
■
Avoid any contact with liquid discharged from your battery pack. Liquid will only be
discharged from your battery pack in extreme cases, but it is important to be prepared.
If contact accidentally occurs, flush the exposed area with water immediately. If liquid
contacts the eyes seek medical attention.
■
Avoid excessive temperatures. If your battery pack overheats to 212°F or more, the battery
is at risk of exploding. Be mindful of lengthy exposure to intense sun or fire.
■
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside
the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures
outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
■
After use and before storage, remove the battery packs from the machine and check
for damage.
■
Check shear bolts, motor mounted bolts, etc., at frequent intervals for proper tightness
to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
■
Run the machine a few minutes after throwing snow to prevent freeze-up of the auger.
■
Allow the motor to cool before storing it in any enclosure.
■
When servicing the auger be aware that, even though the machine is switched off,
the auger can still move freely.
