Use
Contact grills
With the auto release ball lock, the upper part fits flexibly to the shape of the food being
grilled, ensuring perfect contact from the bottom and top at all times. The next time you
fold down the upper part with no food on it, it locks in place again automatically.
Operation
When closed, preheating the contact grill takes less time.
During the cooking process, the Ready indicator goes off and on time
and again, which is normal.
3. Wipe the grill surfaces clean with a cloth before use. Before cooking, always ensure the
device and grill plates are free of food residues and dust.
4. Check that the grease tray on the back is fully inserted into the device. Never use the
device without it!
5. Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.
Once the device is powered up, the Power indicator lights up.
6. Set the cooking temperature using the temperature control knob.
− It is often reasonable to start with a temperature between Min and Max.
− You can raise or lower the temperature at any time later.
The Ready indicator also lights up. When Ready goes off, the preset temperature is
reached.
7. Open the device.
8. Place the food you want to grill (sandwich, meat, fish, vegetable patties, etc.) on the
lower grill surface. Although not absolutely necessary, you can put some cooking oil on
the grill plates (e.g. for very lean grilled food).
9. Depending on the food:
− Let the upper grill surface rest on the food (e.g. for sandwiches), or
− place the upper grill surface in the highest position (e.g. for shish kebab).
− The grill time depends on the food being grilled, temperature setting and taste
preference.
22
When used closed, the grill is ideal for quick
cooking at high temperatures (e.g. steaks,
hamburgers, etc.) and for toasted sandwiches.
The food is grilled from both sides as it comes
into contact with both grill plates.
