WARNING
To avoid serious personal injury, shut unit off befare removing or installing attachment.
To mount the attachment to a power unit:
1.
Make sure that the lock levar is not tightened.
2.
Align the pin with the arrow mark.
3.
lnsert the shaft into the drive shaft of the power head the ralease button pops up.
4.
Tighten the lock levar firmly as shown.
5.
To remove the attachment, loosen the lock levar, press the lock button and withdraw the shaft.
NOTICE
Do not tighten the lock levar without the shaft of the attachment inserted. Otherwise
the lock lever may tighten the entrance of the drive shaft too much and damage it.
GUIDE BAR / SAW CHAIN INSTALLATION
WARNING
Whenever handling the saw chain, always wear work gloves for protection against
sharp cutting edges.
1.
Remove the bar retaining nuts and screw. Then take off the sprocket cover. (Fig. 3A)
2.
Prepare chain and bar.
3.
Loop the saw chain over the drive sprocket with the cutting edges of the chain pointing in the
direction of rotation (Fig. 3B).
4.
Adjust the tension adjustment screw to allow insertion of the bar (Fig. 3C). Make sure the
chain follows the slot in the guide bar and adjust the tension adjust ment screw (Fig. 3D) to
make the chain tighten.
5. lnstall the sprocket cover and tighten bar retaining nuts and screw (Fig. 3A).
