e) Improper use may cause the battery to leak. Avoid contact with battery fluids.
Wash with water in case of contact. If fluid enters the eyes, seek medical help
immediately. A leaking battery can irritate the skin and cause burns.
5) Maintenance
a) Have qualified personnel serviced by your electrical machine and only use original
components. This will ensure that the tool maintains safety standards.
6) Safety measures of the hedge trimmer
• Keep all parts of your body away from the cutting blades. Do not attempt to remove
the cutting element with the tool running. Do not try to cut anything by holding
it with your hand. Remove material that is stuck between the blades only when
the tool is turned off. When you are working with a hedge trimmer, even the slightest
minimum can cause serious injuries.
• Grasp the hedge trimmer of the handle and with the blades stopped. Always put on
the protective cover when transporting or storing. Careful handling reduces the risk of
injury with the blades.
• Hold the hedge trimmer only by the insulated handle when performing work where
the tool could come into contact with electrical wires. If you contact an electrified line
the metal parts of the device can be electrified and give an electric shock.
Additional safety instructions for the hedge trimmer
• Before using the hedge trimmer, check that there are no hidden objects in the brush, such
as wire fences.
• Hold the hedge trimmer correctly (with both hands).
• The hedge trimmer is designed to cut hedges and bushes. It is not designed for intense
professional use.
• Metal components and accessories can get very hot after a long period of time.
• The hedge trimmer will get hot during use. This is normal and does not indicate that
something is wrong.
• Prepare for work. Always ensure that the hedge trimmer is properly mounted and that it is
used as detailed in this instruction manual.
• Start the hedge trimmer. Never start the hedge trimmer if the protective defenses are
missing.
• Always ensure that the handles and safety guards are in place. A hedge trimmer should
not be used if any part is missing or has been modified.
• You should not have the blade near people, animals or pointing is your address.
• Attention: The blade will continue to run for a few seconds after the hedge trimmer has
been turned off.
• Remove thick branches before starting work.
• Don't run while you're working.
• Make sure your feet are well placed, especially if you work on a slope or when using a
ladder.
• When on a slope, always work at an angle and never from top to bottom. Exercise caution
when changing directions on a slope.
• Never try to cut a branch that is too thick.
• Check the blade at regular intervals and replace it if it is damaged.
• This machine has not been designed for use by children or people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or who have little experience or who do not have sufficient
knowledge.
Battery (not included)
1. Remove the battery from the charger once it is fully charged.
2. Remove the charged battery from the charger when not in use.
3. Never attempt to charge a damaged battery.
