Caution: When adhering the cover, ensure that the work area is ade-

quately ventilated – the cleaning agents contain dangerous fumes.
Before you begin adhering the cover, check that it is correctly positioned on the rear bumper.
The cover must be aligned with the vehicle axle, and the outline of the contact surface must
follow the shape of the rear bumper's surface.
Fitting procedure

› Clean the surface of the rear bumper where the cover is to be adhered with a solution of mild
soapy water and rinse it with clean water. Then clean and degrease the surface with a suitable
cleaning agent (we recommend Terostat 8550). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: Ensure that the entire surface of the bumper where the
cover is to be adhered is completely free from dirt and moisture.

› Position the correct cover for the vehicle type on the rear bumper as shown in the figures,
such that the centre of the cover (the recess in the middle of the cover) is in line with the
eyelet of the boot lid lock and the edge of the cover follows the edge of the bumper with the
specified clearance (see section A - A).

› Position the correct cover for the vehicle type on the rear bumper as shown in the figures,
such that the centre of the cover (the recess in the middle of the cover) is in line with the
eyelet of the boot lid lock. See section A - A for the distance that must be left at the centr e
of the cover (i.e. in line with the eyelet of the lock) between the edge of the cover and the
edge of the bumper. The gaps at the sides between the rear bumper and the cover must be
the same at both ends.

› Check that the cover is positioned correctly and secure it. Mark the position of the cover in
the edge areas and in the middle with a suitable felt-tip pen.
› Two people are required to carry out this step.

› Peel away the protective foil from the pieces of double-sided adhesive tape and dispose of it
as sorted waste.

› Place the cover into the correct position on one side of the bumper (see detail).
› Then adhere the cover little by little along its entire length. Keep checking that the cover is
positioned correctly when it is being adhered.
