GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This machine must be grounded. If it should malfunction or
break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance
for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This
machine is equipped with a cord having an equipment-
grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be
inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed
and grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-
grounding conductor can result in the risk of electric shock.
Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are
in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. Do
not modify the plug provided with the machine. If it will not
fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified
electrician.
The electrical cord on the Liberator has been designed to give the proper power to the motor through both the gauge
and length of the cord. Do not use an extension cord. The grounding plug at the end of the cord should NOT be removed.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Loss of suction power.
Liberator does not run.
Filter light is on.
THE CLEANING SYSTEM that makes A DIFFERENCE
This machine is for use on a nominal 120 volt circuit, and
has a grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in
Diagram A. A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter
illustrated in Diagram B may be used to connect this plug
to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in Diagram C if a properly
grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter
should be used only until a properly grounded outlet can be
installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored rigid
ear, lug, or the like extending from the adapter as illustrated
in Diagram B, must be connected to a permanent ground
outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be
held in place by a metal screw as shown in Diagram C.
NOTE: In Canada, the use of a temporary adapter is not
permitted by the Canadian Electrical Code.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Clean and/or replace filters.
Adjust the Velcro skirt height.
The lower edge of the Velcro skirt
should just brush the floor. Starting
in the middle of the brush guard/
end cover plate, line up the slits on
the Velcro skirt with the corners of
the Liberator.
Plug Liberator cord into wall plug.
Twist the pigtail lock cord on the
back of the machine.
Fix fuse.
Turn the motor switch on. If the
switches are on and it still doesn't
run, it should be returned to
the manufacturer or authorized
repair center. Contact your HOST
Distributor.
Clean and/or replace filters.
Empty bagless hopper.
Check to see if hose is clogged, the
shoe is clogged or the vacuum cone
has buildup.
