5. INSTALLING THE CHAINSAW AND TENSIONING THE CHAIN
WARNING
Always disconnect the power plug and wear protective gloves before carrying out any work.
1. Remove the guide bar cover by turning the screw on the guide bar cover to the left.
2. Place the saw chain on the guide bar (Note: the saw teeth must point the tip of the guide bar forward).
3. Place the guide bar with the saw chain on the guide pin (G).
4. Put the guide bar cover back in place (Note: make sure that the guide pin (G) is fixed in the screw holder
(H) and that the adjusting pin (F) fits into the tensioning hole (E) of the guide bar, and secure it slightly by
turning the guide bar cover screw (10) clockwise.
5. Tighten the saw chain with the supplied spanner (B4).
6. Tighten the supplied screw to the left (G).
6. CONNECTION / DISCONNECTION
The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the nameplate of the chain saw.
Switching on: Press the switch lock button (13) and then the power switch (7). If the chain saw does not
start, release the brake lever (1).
Switching off: Release the pressure on the switch (7).
7. OPERATING THE CHAIN SAW
- Before starting to cut, pull the brake lever (from the hand guard) backwards towards the front handle.
- Before plugging in, check the plug and cable for damage. If any damage is found, have it repaired
immediately by a specialist. Never use a damaged cable, plug or socket, or a power cable that does not
meet the requirements.
- The power cable must always be behind the operator of the chain saw.
- Always start cutting with the chain saw switched on. When starting the saw, the cutting chain must not
rest on the material being processed.
- Only move the saw away from the material to be cut when the cutting chain is running.
- In case the cut cannot be completed in one pass, slide the saw out, fit the bumper pin and continue the
cut by lifting the rear handle.
