2. After the individual acknowledgement call has been transmitted, the specific channel (specified by the calling station) is automatically
selected when "ABLE" is selected. When "UNABLE" is selected, the LCD returns to the previous status (before entering the DSC
menu).
♦ Receive an individual call:
When an individual call is received:
1. The emergency alarm or beeps sound depending on the received category, press [CLR] to stop the alarm or beeps.
2. "DSC" and "RCV INDIVIDUAL" appear on the LCD.
3. Press [ENT] to reply the call and select the specified communication channel; press [CLR] to ignore the call.
■ Group Call:
The group call function allows you to transmit a DSC signal to a specific group only.
♦ Transmit a group call:
In DSC menu, select "GROUP", and then choose a desired pre-programmed group address or "MANUAL INPUT".
● The ID code for the group call should be set in advance.
● When "MANUAL INPUT" is selected, press [▲] or [▼] to set the 8-digit MMSI ID code for the group you wish to call.
● While manual inputting, press [CH/WX] or [16] to move the cursor forward or backward. Press [CLR] to cancel and exit the setting.
Press [ENT] to go to the next step.
● The first one digit is specified "0" for a group ID. The first two digits are "0" for any coast station ID.
1. Press [▲] or [▼] to select the desired communication channel, and then press [ENT].
● Communication channels are already preset into the transceiver in recommending order.
● After pressing [ENT], channel 70 is automatically selected and "READY" appears in the channel comment display.
2. Press [ENT] to transmit the group call. If channel 70 is busy, the transceiver will remain in standby mode until the channel becomes
clear.
3. After the group call has been transmitted, the specific channel is automatically selected.
4. Press and hold [PTT] to communicate with the specific group ships.
