GENERAL WARNINGS:
•
Before starting installation, carefully read through these installation instructions exactly in the order described. Ensure that the door
structure is in a good state and suitable for motorisation (EN12604, EN12605).
•
The installer of the automated unit must per form risk analysis on the final automated closing device and protect the dangerous points
identified according to EN 12453 and EN 12445 regulations.
•
Before any installation or maintenance operation, check that the power supply has been disconnected (230 VAC).
•
Check the power supply voltage and the frequency.
•
Make sure the appliance is installed in a place well protected against rain, snow, damp and inflammable materials.
•
Do not work on a moving garage door or on moving components.
•
Check that the door moves smoothly and is not subject to points of friction.
•
Ensure that the door is well-balanced. If necessar y, adjust the balancing mechanisms.
•
Keep children away from the door.
•
Have the installation and electrical connection of GECO and the connections to the various external electrical components carried out by
expert and qualified personnel in compliance with EN 60204-1 and its amendments from point 5.2.2 of EN 12453.
•
Only use original Gi.Bi.Di. spare parts.
•
Be extremely careful when fixing the parts, since high forces come into play.
•
The appliance must only be connected up using a Schuko plug and consequently a socket must be available near the machine.
Upstream of the socket to which the appliance is connected fit a disconnecting switch with distance between contacts of at least 3 mm.
•
Improper installation will lead to for feiture of the guarantee.
•
If necessar y, protect the pinion, chain transmission and sliding area.
•
Install the unit in an area not accessible to persons.
•
Should the power cable be damaged, it must be replaced with a cable or special assembly available at the manufacturer or your
technical ser vice.
•
The courtesy lamp must be replaced by expert and qualified personnel, ensuring that the power has been disconnected.
•
Arrange the electrical cables in such a way that they do not come into contact with moving parts (pinion, chain, etc.) as the insulation
could be damaged.
•
The product is intended for automation of spring-loaded sectional and overhead doors. Any improper or irrational use and different from
that intended is prohibited.
•
Such use will lead to for feiture of the guarantee.
•
The door to be motorized must not have pedestrian doors, otherwise, take the necessary precautions in accordance with
point 5.4.1 of EN 12453.
•

ACCESSORIES AVAILABLE:
•
Sectional doors: No accessories required.
Protruding overhead doors: cur ved arm required.
•
Warning: To install the cur ved arm on an protruding overhead door, strictly follow the instructions in the leaflet supplied with the accessory.
Bear in mind that for good functioning of this type of automation, the overhead door must not be opened completely in order to make
reclosing as easy as possible and prevent any system overloads.
