• Do not confuse EN12941 and EN12942 filter markings with filter marking relating to
other EN standards.
• Do not use PAPR IN CONFINED SPACES, OXYGEN DEFICIENT ATMOSPHERS (<19%),
OXYGEN ENRICHED ATMOPSPHERS (>23%), OR WHERE THERE IS AN IMMIDIATE
DANGER TO LIFE OR HEALTH. Local regulations may apply.
• Do not use if the ambient temperature is outside of the range -10
Humidity levels up to 95% RH do not present any operational problems.
• Do not use if PAPR is damaged. Inspect the headtop and airhose each time before use
to ensure that there is no damage of any kind that may cause leakage or reduce levels
of protection. A monthly inspection of the PAPR is a mandatory requirement in the UK
under COSHH regulations and inspection on a monthly basis is strongly recommended
for all other countries.
• Protection will only be obtained if the equipment is in a proper condition and is fitted
correctly.
• In the unlikely event that the PAPR fails while in hazardous area, there may be an
increase of carbon dioxide and contamination within the headtop. Leave the area
immediately!
• Do not remove headtop/facepiece while in the hazardous area.
• Do not interfere with the seals in any way whilst work is progressing.
• Do not snag the hose or neckband of the mask or disturb the fit of the headtop/
facepiece.
• Do not use the Facepiece if the seal is adversely affected by spectacle or beards.
• Do not remove or change batteries in an explosive or flammable atmosphere.
