2 BEFORE INSTALLATION
2. Feed the conduit and orient it so that the seams face foward. See the images below.

3. Once the foundation is leveled and at the desired height for finishing the EV installation, add gravel in
3 in. to 6 in. (76 mm to 152 mm) layers. Compact each layer with a manual compacting sledge or
compacting machine.
Ensure the foundation level is maintained and that the gravel fills the ribs on the exterior of the foundation.
Repeat this process until the desired height has been reached. Finish the surrounding area with at least
12 in. (304.8 mm) of non flammable concrete or gravel to maintain UL certification.
NOTE: Leviton recommends using a 3/4 in. (19 mm) compacted limestone or a locally available bedding stone.
4. Once the foundation is embedded into the gravel and compacted, remove cover and create a drill pattern
using the template or mounting hardware of the desired charger.
Gravel filled in 3 in. to 6 in. (76 mm to 152 mm)
increments, and then hand- or machine-tamped.
Orient the foundation.
Completed foundation installation.
