TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Adjust the refrigerator temperature by turning the knob on the thermostat. The
closer it is to '5', the lower the temperature will be. A medium setting is most
suitable for general operation.
The temperature will vary, depending on the quantity of foods stored and how
often the door is opened. To maintain efficient cooling and save energy, it is not
recommended to store lots of items, and keep the door shut when possible.
HELPFUL TIPS
The following tips will help save energy.
• Do not keep the door open for long periods.
• Keep the appliance away from all heat sources (direct sunlight, ovens,
cookers etc).
• Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
• Do not store warm food or evaporating liquid inside the appliance.
• Place the appliance in a well ventilated and humidity-free room. Please refer
to the 'Installing your new appliance' chapter.
Tips for fresh food refrigeration
• Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator or freezer - the internal
temperature will increase, which means the compressor has to work harder
and consume more energy.
• Always cover or wrap your food, especially if it has a strong flavor.
• Properly place food inside the refrigerator, so air can circulate freely around
it.
Switching off your appliance
If the appliance needs to be switched off for an extended period, the following
steps should be taken to prevent mould forming within the appliance:
1. Remove all food.
2. Unplug the appliance.
3. Clean and dry the inside thoroughly.
4. Ensure that all the doors are wedged open slightly to allow air to circulate.
CLEANING AND CARE
For hygienic reasons, the appliance (including the inside and outside) should
be cleaned at least every two months.
WARNING: Before cleaning, ensure the appliance is switched off and
unplugged from the mains.
