If coffee machine delivery is slow, the coffee has been
ground too finely, whereas if it is too fast, the coffee has

been ground too coarsely. Many other factors may also
affect coffee delivery, including the amount of coffee,
pressing, espresso machine settings, cleanliness of the
filters and climatic conditions.
10.5 ADJUSTING THE REST
All models are equipped with a mechanism for adju-
sting the height of the rest. To adjust the height, loosen
the screw by half a turn (see figure F14) and slide the
rest up or down to the required position. Tighten the
screw to make sure the portafilter is always placed on
a firm rest.
