2. Unit description
2.1. Overview
The basic purpose of an inverter is to convert the direct current generated by up to two PV arrays into alternating
current to feed into the electricity grid.
Additionally, its purpose is to find the maximum power points of these photovoltaic arrays and comply with the
minimum requirements for the different electricity grid support regulations.
The power structure of these inverters achieves a high performance with a flat curve, minimizing the cost and
weight of the inverter.
These inverters do not have a transformer for the connection of PV arrays isolated from the electricity grid.
Some of the main characteristics of these inverters:

Measurement of MPPT input currents.
•
DC switch.
•
Type-2 AC and DC surge arresters.
They have the following maximum power point trackers at the DC input. The connection uses quick connectors.
