Measurement uncertainty K
The total vibration emission values specified and the de-
vice emissions values specified have been measured in
accordance with a standardised test procedure and can
be used for comparison of one electric tool with another.
The total noise emission values specified and the total vi-
bration emission values specified can also be used for an
initial estimation of the load.
WARNING
The noise emission values and vibration
emission value can vary from the specified
values during the actual use of the power
tool, depending on the type and the manner
in which the electric tool is used, and in par-
ticular the type of workpiece being pro-
cessed.
Try to keep the stress as low as possible. For example:
Limit working time. In doing so, all parts of the operating
cycle must be taken into account (such as times in
which the power tool is switched off or times in which it
is switched on, but is not running under a load).

Before commissioning
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying
out any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, tool
2
change, etc.) and when transporting and storing it.
There is a risk of injury if the on/off switch is operated
2
unintentionally.
8.1
Inserting/removing the battery (9)
in the battery mount (8) (Fig. 2)
Inserting the battery
1. Put the rotational direction switch (5) in the middle po-
sition (lock).
2. Push the battery (9) into the battery mount (8). The
battery (9) clicks into place audibly.
Removing the battery
1. Press the unlock button (10) of the battery (9) and re-
move it from the battery mount (8).
8.2
Insert SDS-Plus twist drill (14) and
quick-action drill chuck (12) (Fig. 1,
3)
CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when
the product is in operation.
Note:
Clean the shank of the SDS-Plus twist drill or quick-action
drill chuck and grease it lightly. Use drill bit grease for
this.
Note:
The dust cap (2) largely prevents drilling dust from enter-
ing the tool receiver during operation. When inserting an
SDS-Plus twist drill (14) or the quick-action drill chuck
(12), ensure that the dust protection cap (2) is not dam-
aged.
ATTENTION
A damaged dust cap must be replaced immediately. It
is recommended to have this done by a service centre.
1. Pull the locking sleeve (3) backwards to unlock the
SDS-Plus tool receiver (1).
2. Turn the SDS-Plus twist drill bit (14) or the quick-ac-
tion drill chuck (12) into the SDS-Plus tool receiver (1).
3. Release the locking sleeve (3).
4. Check that it is firmly seated by pulling on the SDS-
Plus twist drill (14) or the quick-action drill chuck (12).
The SDS-Plus twist drill bit (14) or the quick-action
drill chuck (12) has some radial play due to the sys-
tem.
