OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
CENTRIFUGAL ELECTRIC PUMP CBP SERIES
3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
⚠
Before pump start-up:
1.
Make sure that the mains voltage and frequency are the same as on the nameplate.
2.
Make sure that the capacitor matches the requirements of the pump motor (for single-phase mo-
tors).
3.
Make sure that the pump is fully submerged (for submersible pumps).
4.
Check the direction of rotation.
5.
Never run the pump dry.
6.
Never change the position of the level switch set by the manufacturer.
7.
Se recomienda instalar una tubería con un diámetro mayor que el de la impulsión de la bomba para
reducir las pérdidas por fricción tanto como sea posible.
•
Install a check valve at the pump outlet to prevent the pipe from draining every time the pump stops.
•
Avoid bends and turns in the piping and make sure that a correct connection is made between the
piping and the pump drive.
Both cases affect the correct functioning and performance of the pump.
4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The single-phase motor includes a thermal protector. For three-phase motors, protection must be pro-
vided by the user or installer.
•
The plug on the pump cable must match the socket. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs. Unmodified plugs and matching plugs will reduce the risk of electric shock.
•
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces.
•
Do not abuse cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the pump. Keep cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
•
When operating a pump outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
•
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
•
The pump is equipped with a compatible plug. The power supply in your country must comply with
international regulations.
•
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid hazards.
Unsuitable extension cords can be dangerous.
If an extension cord is used, it must be suitable for outdoor use and the connection must be kept dry
and off the ground. It is recommended that this is done using a cable reel that keeps the plug at least
60 mm above the ground.
