Important WEEE Information
Used electrical and electronic products contain valuable sub-
stances and therefore do not belong in the household waste!
For this reason, you as a consumer have to ensure proper
disposal, separate from household waste, according to the
German electrical law. To make this clear, all electrical and
electronic products that have been newly placed on the market
since 2005 have been marked with the symbol of a crossed-out
garbage can, as a visible sign of resource conservation and
environmental protection.
The electrical law regulates what happens to the collected
electrical and electronic products: They must be collected and
transported in such a way that no dangerous substances can
be released along the way. Certified waste disposal companies
treat the products, render pollu tants harmless and use complex
procedures to recover raw materials, which are then fed back
into the production process as secondary raw materials. For
suitable old products, the legislature also prescribes a test to
determine whether reuse would be possible. Ideally, the old
products can be refurbished and reused as good used ones.

CERTIFICATIONS
Second-hand smartphones, PCs and laptops in particular may
be suitable for a second or third life. In this respect, the pro-
fessional collection and disposal of electrical and electronic
products protects the climate and the environment and also
protects the earth's ever scarcer resources.
If you do not live in Germany, please follow the instructions of
your country's waste disposal laws.
Power X-Change batteries should be disposed separately,
according to the manufacturer's instructions (see page 25).
Please also follow the safety instructions of the manufac-
turer Einhell for the disposal of the batteries in connection
with the avoidance of hazards (see page 25).
