BACK CARRY POSITION
For babies aged 6 months + (15-65 lbs/6.8-30 kg)
Illustration of option: Parallel straps and lateral attachment
The back carry position allows for
considerable freedom and is generally
the carrying position used for the longest
period of time. However, you have to
remain vigilant and give yourself time to
be comfortable. Except in the case of
physical issues, anyone can do it! You
can ask someone to assist you, sit on
a chair or a bed, or even use a mirror!
Use these tips for an easier and safer
experience.
There are several methods for placing
your baby on your back. This is just one
of the suggested methods. You are
invited to explore the videos available
on the Chimpäroo website, YouTube
page and social media.
Tie the two suspenders on each side, then tie the belt around your waist. Place the carrier on your hip and put it on
like a backpack, with the strap opposite the carrier over your shoulder. Seat baby in the carrier with their legs on
either side, well under the side clips. Lift the fabric of the back of the baby carrier on your back as high as possible.
Slip baby on your back, holding the strap up to support his back, and putting it on your shoulder like a backpack.
Make sure the fabric of the baby carrier covers the baby's back properly by pulling the shoulder straps up. Adjust
the straps to hold your baby tightly against you. Tie the two straps together in front of you with the buckle.

IMPORTANT: Carrying your baby on the
back is recommended from the moment
he manages to sit up independently.
