Problem
The 12 V DC universal plug
in the on-board power
socket gets very warm.
The cooler is not ade-
quately cooling, the fan

wheel
is not rotating.
The cooler is not cooling,
but the fan wheel
rotating.

Possible cause
The 12 V DC universal
plug has not been
properly assembled.
The on-board power
socket/the cigarette
lighter is dirty (e.g.
tobacco residue).
This results in poor
electrical contact.
The cooling power
controller is set to
a level below eco
mode.
The ventilation motor
is defective.
Part of the cooling

unit (presumably the
is
Peltier element) is
defective.
Solution
Reassemble the
12 V DC universal plug as
described in the chapter
"Changing the fuse in
the 12 V DC universal
plug".
Immediately pull the
12 V DC universal plug
out of the on-board
power socket.
Carefully clean the
inside of the on-board
power socket with
a non-conducting
(non-metallic) brush
until the middle contact
pin in the on-board
power socket is clean
again.
Turn the cooling power
controller clockwise to
increase the cooling
power.
The ventilation motor
must be repaired by cus-
tomer service. To do so,
contact the customer ser-
vice department at the
service address indicated
on the warranty card.
The Peltier element must
be repaired by customer
service. To do so, contact
the customer service de-
partment at the service
address indicated on the
warranty card.
