To check the condition of the brushes remove the battery pack from the tool. Unscrew the brush caps and remove the brushes by lifting on the
metal tab. Note the orientation of the brush when it is removed, if re-installing, it should be inserted in the same orientation. It is normal for the
brushes to wear at different rates. If either brush is below the specified length in the diagram, replace both brushes to maintain peak performance.
Reinstall brush caps and tighten to proper torque.
Parts and Maintenance
Tool repair and maintenance should only be carried out by an authorized Service Center.
Refer all communications to the nearest Ingersoll Rand Office or Distributor.
