When replacing the splitting chisel, proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that the hydraulic nut splitter is not pressurized and
is not installed in a hydraulic system.
2. Remove the protective screw from the side of the nut splitter.
The primary purpose of the screw is to protect it from dust and
dirt.
3. Remove the second screw from the same hole.
4. Make sure the nut splitter is in a level position. Otherwise, the
parallel-key could fall out of the nut splitter.
5. Remove the splitting chisel from the guide and note the
correct position of the chisel.
6. Replace the worn-out splitting chisel.
7. Lubricate the guide pins of the splitting chisel and the other
running surfaces of the splitting chisel with KUKKO special sliding
grease (699915).
