Recipes
Raclette
This unit can be used to prepare raclette, a Swiss speciality, for 6 people.
Raclette is easy to prepare and lends itself to numerous recipes. You can combine it with
almost any ingredient you like.
You can grill small chunks of sausage or meat on the grill plate.
Only use special raclette cheese or a cheese that melts easily. Ask your grocer for advice.
Some raclette-suitable cheeses are Emmental, Gouda and Edam.
Note: Do not use cheese that melts slowly.
To make raclette, you will need approx. 250 grams of raclette cheese per person.
It can traditionally be served with jacket potatoes as a side dish. You can also serve it with
bread or other side dishes.
Melted cheese
Place a few ingredients in a raclette serving tray and cover them with one or two slices
of cheese. Place the serving tray in the special moulded slot to slowly melt the cheese
and keep an eye on it to ensure that it doesn't burn.
When the cheese starts to bubble, it is ready to be served.
Grilling meat
Cut the meat or sausages into slices or small chunks. Rub the meat with a little salt.
Lightly grease the grill plate with suitable cooking oil.
Place the meat on the grill plate.
Use a spatula to turn over the meat.
Remove the meat from the grill plate when it is cooked to your liking.
Note: only grill small or finely chopped pieces of meat. Do not grill ingredients
that can burn easily.
