to the valves (3,4) to prevent any damage.
Excessive tugging may cause the system to tip
over or get damaged.
4. During operation all hoses need to be without
kink to ensure maximum waterflow and a
proper softening process.
Flowmeter during operation (Fig. F)
1. Flowmeter (5) will turn on automatically when
water will starting to run through it and will
start to measure amount of water passing
true. When water is not flowing, the screen of
flowmeter will turn of after 1 minute.
2. When flowmeter reaches 1000 Liters (14),
the indicator light (12) will turn on and start
flashing and regeneration of the flowmeter (5)
is advised.
When screen is not turning on when
water is flowing trough meter then
batteries need to be replaced. Follow
steps "Replacing battery flowmeter"
under 5. Maintenance.
Screen will shut off after 60 seconds of
not using.
5. MAINTENANCE
Regeneration (Fig. C)
Regeneration is advised after every 1000 Liters of
use to maintain a fully softening effect of the hard
water. Follow regeneration steps carefully to get a
proper regeneration.
1. Close water tap and disconnect water inlet
hose from water inlet valve (3).
2. Close water inlet valve (3) and close water
outlet valve (4).
3. Disconnect utility-hose from water outlet valve
(4)
4. First open the water inlet valve (3) then the
water outlet valve (4) and drain water for 10
seconds (Fig C.1).
5. Close both valves (3,4) and open the lid (2)
6. Add 1 kg of regular table salt to the tank.
7. Close the lid (2) and keep inlet and outlet
valves (3,4) closed during regeneration
process.
8. Wait 30 minutes for regeneration process to
take place (Fig. C.2).
9. After 30 minutes connect water inlet hose
(6,8,9) and the flush hose (7,10).
10. Open water inlet and outlet valves (3,4).
11. Open the water tap and flush system for 30
minutes.
12. After flushing system (Fig. C.3) test the water
quality (Fig. D) with the included testing strips
(19).
13. Follow step 1 to 4 of testing (Fig. D) and
compare results to chart. When fully
regenerated the testing strip (19) colour
sample should indicate a hardness of 0 on the
colour chart. If testing strip indicates >50 or
above then regeneration is required.
14. When regeneration process is successful,
reset water flow meter (Fig. F).
15. Press and hold reset button (15) on flowmeter
(5) for 3 seconds. Flow counter (14) will reset
back to 0.
16. Water softener is ready for use.
After regeneration make sure to reset
flowmeter to have a correct
representation of the amount soft water
produced.
Replacing battery flowmeter (Fig. F)
Battery indicator (13) on the screen of flowmeter
(5) will appear when the battery (17) is low and
need to be replaced.
1. Disconnect flowmeter (5) from closed water
tap and inlet hose (6,8,9) and let it dry or wipe
dry with towel.
2. Press on both sides the display release
buttons (18) and pull display of housing
flowmeter.
3. Replace battery (17) with new battery.
4. Press display closed in housing.
5. Re-connect flowmeter (5) to water tap and to
inlet hose (6,8,9).
6. Flowmeter is ready for use.
When battery is drained and replaced,
status of flow counter (14) will be lost.
Replacement battery must be LiMn
CR2032.
