6. You may place the steam lid on the water tank if desired.
i.
Caution! When using the sterilization basket, the steam lid does not fit on the water tank.
7. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
8. Touch the warm-up function button. The 'heating function activated' icon will light up on the control panel.
The default temperature is 37°C. By touching the warm-up function button, you can set the temperature
between 37°C and 50°C. The heating temperature and time depend on the type of food and the amount
thereof. Please refer to relevant recipe books or the internet for more information.
9. The warm-up function will automatically start after a 3-second delay. It takes some time for the water in the
water tank to heat up. The heating element turns on and off at intervals (this will cause regular clicking
sounds in the BFP-66), which helps stabilize the water at the set temperature.
10. The water continues to heat for a total of 40 minutes. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, it
will maintain that temperature. After 40 minutes, the appliance will emit 3 beep tones and the control panel
will return to standby mode.
i.
Caution! The appliance does not provide an indication when the water has reached the
set temperature
11. Regularly remove the bottle/jar from the water tank (or the sterilization basket) using the tongs and
shake/stir the milk/food to distribute the temperature evenly. Check the temperature of the food on the back
of your hand or on your wrist.
i.
Caution! Be aware that any water splashes from the water tank, the steam lid, the
sterilization basket, and the bottle or jar may be hot.
12. Once the milk or food has reached the desired temperature, use the tongs or sterilization basket to remove
the bottle or jar from the water tank, and turn off the appliance by pressing and holding the on/off/pause
button for 3 seconds.
13. If the appliance is no longer needed, remove the mains plug from the wall socket. Allow the appliance to
cool down completely, then pour out the water from the water tank and dry the inside of the water tank.
During heating, you may adjust the temperature or switch the appliance to standby mode (see chapter 5.3.
STAND-BY MODE). To do this, touch the warm-up function button or the on/off/pause button. If no action is
taken within 5 minutes, the device will automatically return to standby mode
10. STERILIZING BOTTLES AND TEATS
1. Place the appliance on a firm and flat surface, ensuring enough space around it to prevent any damage to
kitchen cupboards, such as from hot steam.
i.
Caution! The jug and the lid of the jug must be placed on the appliance for the steam
function to operate properly.
2. For bottles: Insert the insulating ring into the water tank./ For teats: Insert the sterilization basket into the
water tank.
i.
Caution! Either the insulating ring OR the sterilization basket must be placed in the water
tank to avoid direct contact between the bottle/teat and the heating plate due to high
temperatures.
3. For bottles: Remove the cap and/or teat. Place the bottle upside down on the insulating ring in the water
tank. / For teats: Place the teat in the sterilization basket.
i.
Caution! Place only one teat in the basket at a time.
4. For bottles: Pour approximately 60 ml of water into the water tank using the measuring cup. / For teats: Add
enough water to the water tank to completely cover the teat.
i.
Caution! Do not fill the water tank beyond the MAX indication. Never add liquids other than
water, except white vinegar for descaling (refer to Chapter 6: CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE). Never operate the steam function without water in the water tank.
5. For bottles: Secure the steam lid on the water tank. / For teats: There is no need to place the steam lid as
the teat will be fully submerged.
6. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
7. Activate the steam function by pressing the corresponding button. The "steam function activated" icon will
illuminate on the control panel. The default steaming time is set for 20 minutes but can be adjusted in
5-minute intervals, from 5 to 30 minutes, by pressing the steam function button. For sterilizing
bottles/teats, a 5-minute steam time is sufficient.
8. During the final minute, the display will countdown from 60 to 0 seconds. Three beep tones signal that the
device is returning to standby mode.
9. Allow the water tank to cool for 4 to 5 minutes after steaming.
10. For bottles: Remove the bottle from the water tank using the tongs. / For teats: Carefully lift the basket from
the water tank and use the tongs to extract the teat.
i.
Caution! Be cautious of hot water splashes/steam from the water tank, steam lid,
sterilization basket, bottle, and teat.
11. If you no longer need the appliance, disconnect the mains plug from the socket. Allow the appliance to cool
completely, then empty the water tank and dry the interior.
During sterilization, you may adjust the steam time or revert to standby mode by pressing the steam function
button or the on/off/pause button (see Chapter 5.3: STAND-BY MODE). If no buttons are pressed within 5
minutes, the appliance will automatically switch to standby mode.
11. Disposal of the Appliance
At the end of your appliance's life cycle, do not dispose of this product with
