MAINTENANCE OF A DOUBLE INSULATED APPLIANCE
In a double-insulated product, two insulation systems are provided
instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double-
insulated product, nor should a grounding means be added to the
product. Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme care
and knowledge of the system and should be performed only by qualified
technical personnel. Replacement parts for a double-insulated product
must be identical to the parts they replace. A double-insulated product
is marked with the words "DOUBLE INSULATED" or "Class II". This
symbol may also be marked on the product:
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS
The use of an extension cord with this product is NOT RECOMMENDED.
If you must use an extension cord, use only extension cords that are
designed for outdoor use. These cords are marked "ACCEPTABLE FOR
USE WITH OUTDOOR APPLIANCES, STORE INDOOR WHILE NOT IN USE".
Use only extension cords that have an electrical rating no lower than
that of the product. Examine the extension cord before use. DO NOT USE
DAMAGED EXTENSION CORD! Do not pull on the cord to disconnect it
from the receptacle; always disconnect it by pulling on the plug. Keep
cord away from heat and sharp edges. Always unplug the extension cord
from the outlet before disconnecting the product from the extension
cord.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, keep all
connections dry and off the ground. Do not touch the plug
with wet hands.
