4.3 Starting the Engine

position.
4.3.2 When starting a cold engine, position
the choke lever (2)
NOTE: If restarting a warm engine, keep the
choke lever (2)

way towards the MAX position.

(4) to the ON
position.

until you encounter resistance, then briskly
pull it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
NOTE: To prevent any damage to the starter,
avoid allowing the starter grip to snap back
forcefully against the engine. Instead, gently
return it to its original position.
4.3.6 If the choke lever (6) was initially set to
engine begins to warm up.
