Assembling fittings and pipes
The unit must be installed using the piping supplied with the watermaker.
See the hydraulic flowchart in the appendix A1-01 and the "on board
installation" on page A3-01/A3-02 to have an overview of all hydraulic
interfaces and a representation of the layout of the components.
All piping is connected with traditionel hose clambs except for the
internal connections in the watermaker witch are
the hose can be firmly pushed in to assure a pressure tight connection.
The MODULAR model does require some additional connections to be made.
The fittings and piping must be absolutely clean. Clean the fitting and its housing beforehand by
removing any remaining burrs or any other obstructing elements.
Assembling piping
The necessary piping is supplied in rolls to be cut to the right length, depending on needs. The cut, using
a cutter; should be clean and perpendicular to the axis of the pipe.
The water production hose should be connected to the upper part of the fresh-water-tank and should not
touch the water.
Don't put a valve on this outlet (to prevent a rise in pressure);
if a valve is installed on this tank, then it should always be open (water must be able to pass freely into
the tank).
Do not immerse the piping into the tank to avoid a siphon effect when the watermaker is not running.
The cleaning hoses (A7 and A8) and the sample hose (B3) need to be long enough
to be immersed simultaneously in the auxiliary reservoir placed on the ground (10
liters), during membrane flushing of cleaning operations.
The hose (A8) will be placed preferably partly lower than the rinsing tank to assist
the starting of the pump.
See annexe A3-03 / A3-04 for the complete list of the installation parts (hoses,
clambs, valves, etc..).
