INTRODUCTION
The 14745 meter is a oval gear type pulse generator. It is
used in distribution pipelines and connected to a
monitoring equipment.
INSTALLATION
The meter's objective is to be installed directly in the
distribution pipe and connected to a monitoring
equipment. It is recommended to install a pressure relief
system in the pipe for preventing damages caused by
thermal expansion in the equipment.
Grames (pulses/g)
Configuration
The use of fluids with very high or low viscosity, as well as
extreme flows, may require a calibration by pulse adjustment.
The accuracy of the meter has been set for the following
operating conditions: Grease grade NLGI-2 at 20°
temperature with a range between 0.1 and 2.5 kg/min.
Make sure you connect in a proper way the positive and
negative card poles. The input voltage cannot exceed 24 V
and 100 mA.
The management equipment in charge of processing the
generated pulses, will be connected to the terminals in the
following way:
• COM Terminal: connect the ground wire (GND) to
the management equipment
• A
Terminal: connect the other management
equipment wire. Transmit sensor reed pulses.

For preventing dirt damage or solid particles dragged by
the fluid, it is recommended to install a 400 microns filter
at the meter entry.
To connect the monitoring equipment receiving the pulse
generation, note that 1,11 ppg (pulse per grame) are
generated for correct configuration:

SOLUTION
Meter calibration.
Return the meter to proper working
conditions (flow, viscosity, temperature...).
Clean the measuring chamber.
Contact with the Technical Service.
Check cable connections.
Dismount the meter and review the gears
for its cleaning or substitution.
