5. Fry according to the instructions.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning, remove the plug from the power socket and wait until the device cools down
completely.
2. Pull out the bowl with the basket so that the device cools down faster. Allow the bowl to cool
before removing the basket.
CAUTION! The bowl, the basket and the inside of the device are coated with a non-stick coat-
ing. Do not clean them with metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaners as this may damage the
coating.
3. Wipe the housing of the device with a damp cloth. The housing should never neither be immersed
in water or any other liquid nor washed in the dishwasher.
4. Wash the bowl and basket with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not
use wire cloths or abrasive cleaners to clean the case. The basket can be washed in a dishwasher.
5. Clean the inside of the device with hot water and a delicate, non-abrasive sponge.
6. Clean the heating element with a cleaning brush to remove any dirt.
7. After cleaning and drying, the device should be folded and stored in a safe place.
IF DIRT IS STUCK TO THE BASKET OR THE BOTTOM OF THE BOWL, FILL THE BOWL WITH
HOT WATER WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF WASHING-UP LIQUID. PUT THE BASKET IN THE
BOWL AND LEAVE IT SOAKED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.

Possible cause
Some ingredients should be
shaken halfway through the
preparation time.
Snacks intended for preparation
in a traditional deep fat frying
device were used.
There are too many ingredients in
the basket.
The basket is not correctly
positioned in the bowl.
The handle of the baking tray
locks the bowl.
Fatty ingredients are being
prepared.
The bowl contains fat from
previous cooking.
Solution
Ingredients placed on top of each other or across each other
(e.g. French fries) should be shaken halfway through the
preparation time.
Use snacks to be prepared in Fitfryer or cover snacks with a
thin layer of oil to ensure their tenderness.
Do not fill the basket above the MAX level.
Slide the basket into the bowl until a "click" can be heard.
Set the handle horizontally so that it does not protrude from
the basket.
Large amount of fat leaks into the bowl during frying fatty
ingredients in Fitfryer. This fat emits white smoke and the
bowl may heat up more than usual. This neither affect the
appliance nor the final cooking result.
