3. Remove the adjuster cover
(CAL).
4. Insert a millimeter screwdriver
and turn clockwise to increase the
temperature or counterclockwise to
decrease.
5. Measure the soldering tip with
a thermometer or thermocouple to
know when has reached the
indicated temperature (400 °C).
Maintenance and cleaning
• The high temperatures could damage the soldering tip. Use the most
possible low temperature when use it.
• Clean the tips regularly with the sponge, if don't oxides and solder resi-
dues can appears.
• To clean the tip adjust the temperature to 250 °C (482 °F).
When the temperature is stabilized you can clean it.
• If the tip have black oxide, apply new soldering and rub it with a clean
sponge. Repeat until you remove the oxide. Then, coat the tip with new
soldering.
• If the tip it is deformed or highly damaged, replace it with a new one.
