6.4. START UP AND STOPPAGE
Security button.
ON/OFF switch.
Let go of the on/off switch.
Letting go of the on/off switch will stop the chain
of the machine in 0.15s. When the switch is not
functioning the conexion of the engine to the chain is
stopped thanks to a clutch. You will observe that the
chain stops even although the engine has not stopped
until a few moments later.
6.5. POINTS TO BE VERIFIED
6.5.1. VERIFYING THE KICK BACK PROTECTION
The kick back is the biggest danger of this
machine. This machine has an automatic
security brake to stop the chain from moving should
an unexpected kick back occur during its use.
To verify the correct function of the automatic brake:
1. Start the machine and keep it on.
2. Push forward the chain brake with your left hand.
3. The chain shoul stop inmediately.
If the chain does not stop inmedately or it takes too
long to stop, take the machine to your after sales
technician.
Check the chain brake prior to each use.

6.5.2. VERIFYING THE OIL LUBRICATION SYSTEM
After start up, accelerate
the chainsaw until the chain
rotates at a medium speed
and verify that the chainsaw
has oil lubrication. To check
this, place the machine as in
the figure and check that oil
comes off the tip of the bar.
