Section 6. Replacing Tablets
1.
Shut off the pump and turn the control valve to the closed position..
2.
Wait one minute to allow water and fumes to drain from feeder.
3.
Remove the cap and locking ring by depressing the locking ring tab to
disengage it from the notch in the feeder housing. Rotate the locking ring
counterclockwise to remove the ring and cap as one assembly. Refill with
proper sized chlorine tablets. NEVER MIX CHLORINE TABLET TYPES OR
CHLORINE WITH BROMINE.
NOTE: Keep an eye on the tablet level in the unit, preferably reload BEFORE
they run out.
4.
Ensure that the cap o-ring is seated properly in the groove on the cap.
Place the cap on the housing and rotate the locking ring clockwise until the
locking tab snaps into place on the housing.
5.
Return the inlet control valve to its normal running position, open all valves
and switch on the pump.
Section 7. Winterizing
NOTE: If the equipment room is subject to freezing conditions, it will be
necessary to drain your dosing unit following these instructions.
1.
Remove the drain plug and the lid.
2.
Remove any remnants of undissolved chemical tablets, rinse out the body
with clean water.
3.
Allow the unit to drain down then replace the drain plug and loosely replace
the lid without tightening the locking ring fully.
