To square the top section:
10. Place the unit face down on a clean protective surface and measure from the top left of the unit
to the right corner of the Center Shelf (1/2) and from the left corner of the Center Shelf to the top
right of the unit (3/4). The measurements should be equal. If not, tap on a corner until they are.
See Figure 10.
To attach the Back Panels:
Make sure the holes in the Upper Back Panels (KL & KR) line up over the side panels and the
top shelf and have a slight gap along the vertical divider where they meet. The back panels are
marked LEFT or RIGHT BACK near the bottom to identify the back side and the bottom. Fasten
the Back Panels to the unit through the predrilled holes in the back panel using 18 #6 x 5/8"
Philtruss Screws (P). Be careful not to over-tighten the screws because you might strip the wood.

Screw six #6 x 5/8" Philtruss Screws (P) with six Finish Washers (Q) into the vertical divider
even with the screws in the side panels. See Figure 10a.

To square the bottom section:
With the unit lying face down on a clean protective surface, measure from the left corner of the

Center Shelf to bottom right corner of unit (1/2) and from the bottom left corner to the upper right
corner of the Center Shelf (3/4). Measurements should be equal. If they are not, tap on a corner
until they are equal. See Figure 11.
To attach the Back Panels:
Make sure the holes in the Lower Back Panels (LL & LR) line up over the side panels and the
bottom shelf and have a slight gap along the vertical divider where they meet. The back panels
are marked LEFT or RIGHT BACK near the bottom to identify the back sides and bottoms of
each panel. Fasten the Back Panels to the unit through the predrilled holes in the back panel
using the #6 x 5/8" Philtruss Screw (P). Be careful not to over-tighten the screws because you
might strip the wood. See Figure 11. Screw four #6 x 5/8" Philtruss Screws (P) with four Finish
Washers (Q) into the vertical divider even with the screws in the side panels. See Figure 11a.
Screw six #6 x 5/8" Philtruss Screws (P) with six Finish Washers (Q) into the center shelf even
with the screws in the top and bottom shelf. See Figure 11a.
