Als deze batterij wordt ingeslikt, kunnen er binnen 2 uur ernstige inwendige brandwonden ontstaan die de dood tot gevolg kunnen hebben.  Als u vermoedt dat er een batterij werd ingeslikt of ergens in het lichaam terecht is gekomen, moet u onmiddellijk medi- sche hulp inroepen.
