12. Bluetooth mode
You can use Bluetooth to play tracks from external devices such as MP3 players or
mobile phones with Bluetooth on this boombox.
12.3.1. Connecting Bluetooth devices for the fi rst time
Set the operating mode switch to MUSIC.
Enable the Bluetooth function on your external device as well.
PAIR flashes on the display. The boombox is in pairing mode.
Perform pairing on the external device. Refer to the user manual for your exter-
nal device for more information. The name of the audio system is "MD 44538".
PAIR is continuously shown on the display. You have now set up the connection
and can use the external device on the boombox.
12.3.2. Disconnecting the connection
If you want to stop data transfer via Bluetooth, either switch off the Bluetooth
function on the external device or switch the operating mode switch to another
position to access another mode.
Known external devices, which have already been paired once, will be connected
again automatically. It is not necessary to pair the devices again. To reconnect, acti-
vate Bluetooth mode on both devices.
12.3.3. Control
You can control track playback, the volume and a range of special functions on your
external device and on the boombox. What functions are available is dependent on
your external device and the software in use. In principle, these buttons on the de-
vice are intended for control via Bluetooth:

Reduce/increase volume
Also ensure that the volume on the external device is set
loud enough to ensure a sufficient input signal.
