Step 3 – Using your fingers on each side of the zero-
gap tool, push up until the cutting blade is even with

Step 4 – MAKE SURE THE MOVING CUTTING
BLADE DOES NOT EXTEND PAST THE FIXED BLADE.
WARNING: IF THE CUTTING BLADE EXTENDS PAST
THE FIXED BLADE YOU CAN POTENTIALLY CUT
YOURSELF.
Step 5 – Once the blade is adjusted to zero gap or
your liking, gently tighten the two screws on each
side of the blade while holding the zero gap tool in
place. If the blade is not adjusted to satisfaction after
testing, repeat the adjusting process.

HIDDEN HANGING HOOK
The FX799 has a sliding hanging hook that is built into the bottom of the unit next
to where the battery is removed and installed.
1. To use the hook, simply pull out with enough force to feel a click, which will lock
it in place.
2. When not using the hook, push it back into the base of the trimmer, and it will
click into place, staying hidden until you want to use it again.
MAGNETIC COVER
The FX799 has a removable magnetic cover integrated
into the top of the trimmer, which allows for easy
access and cleaning of critical moving parts.
To remove the magnetic cover, place your fingers on
the side tabs of the cover and pull straight away from
the unit.
To clean and remove hair from the internal moving
parts after the magnetic cover has been removed, use
compressed air or the included small cleaning brush.
Once finished cleaning the moving parts of the trimmer,
carefully place the magnetic cover back into position.
The magnets will pull the cover closed.
