Operations & Parts Manual
Air Grease Gun
Installation
A 3/8" air hose is required up to a length of 8 ft. If more length is
required a 1/2" air hose should be connected to the 3/8" hose
to ensure the tool had the necessary air supply. Be sure all
hoses and fittings are the correct size and tightly secured.
Pre- Operation
Before the tool is connected to the air supply, clear the air hose
of accumulated dust and moisture. Before removing a tool for
service or changing accessories, make sure the air line is
shut-off and drained of air. This will prevent the tool from
operating if the tool is accidentally engaged.
There are three methods to load the air grease gun:
METHOD 1 – CARTRIDGE (SEE FIGURE 1)
1.
Unscrew the front housing for the container tube.
2.
Pull the plunger handle completely back and lock into the
place.
3.
Insert the open end of a grease cartridge into the container
tube and completely push in the cartridge.
4.
Remove the seal form the cartridge.
5.
Screw the front housing and container tube back together.
6.
Press the locking plate to release the plunger and push the
plunger handle back in to the container tube.
METHOD 2 – FILLER PUMP (SEE FIGURE 2)
1.
Pull the plunger handle completely back and lock into the
place.
2.
Insert the bulk fill valve into the filler pimp socket.
3.
Fill the container tube and disconnect the grease gun from
the filler.
4.
Press the locking plate to release the plunger and push the
plunder handle back in to the container tube.
METHOD 3 – BULK FILLING (SEE FIGURE 3)
1.
Unscrew the gun head for the container tube.
2.
Pull the plunger handle back approximately 2 to 3 inches
and fill this section of the container tube. Repeat this
process until the entire container tube is filled. Be careful
to pack without air pockets.
3.
Screw the gun head and container tube back together.
4.
Press the locking plate to release the plunger and push the
plunder handle back in to the container tube.
4
Release all pressure from the system before attempting to
install, service, relocate or perform any maintenance
The grease gun may still have air pressure after
disconnected from the air source. Point the grease gun
into a suitable receptacle and fire it until all of the air is
expressed.
Rigid Spout and Flexible Hose are replaceable parts which
extends the nozzle. Assemble the appropriate one with
different work usage.
Operation
Note: If your Grease Gun fails to work, it is usually because air
pockets have formed in the gun. To remove them, disconnect
the grease gun from the air supply. Pull back and fully extend
the handle (36). Now push the handle forward into the grease
tube while depressing the air vent valve (23). Reconnect the air
supply to the grease gun and then squeeze and release the
trigger (11) several times until the trapped air is expelled.
Repeat as needed.
Before every use, prime the grease gun by operating the gun
(see below) until grease flows from the tip. If it dose not prime
properly, follow the directions above for venting trapped air.
1. Attach the grease gun to the air source hose following the
directions as below pictures.
2. Squeeze the trigger (11) to inject a small amount of grease.
Release and squeeze the trigger repeatedly to inject more
grease.
3. Disconnect from the air source hose before refilling the
grease gun. Turn off the air compressor.
