GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR ELECTRICAL DEVICES

Be careful: whenever you use an electric tool, please follow these basic safety guidelines
to reduce the risk of a fire, electric shocks and personal injury. Read this manual carefully
before using the device. Keep this manual in a safe place.
1. Keep your work area clean and tidy.
An untidy work area increases the risk of personal injury.
2. Consider the environmental conditions of your work area.
Never use electric tools in the rain. Do not use electric tools in wet or damp areas.
Keep your work area well lit. Do not use electric tools near flammable liquids or gasoline.
3. Protect yourself from electric shocks.
Whenever using an electric tool, avoid touching grounded surfaces (pipes, radiators,
shelves, refrigerators).
4. Keep children away from electric tools.
Do not let anyone come into contact with the tool or power cord.
Keep all visitors away from your work area. This device is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity or those who lack
experience or knowledge unless supervised or under proper instruction on the use of this
device from a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised at all times
to ensure they do not play with the device.
5. Put tools away when they are not being used.
Whenever not in use, tools should be kept in a sealed and dry location out of reach of
children.
6. Do not force the tool.
It will operate most efficiently and safely at the normal power level for which it was
designed.
7. Use the tool properly.
Do not force small tools to do tasks for which a heavy tool should be used.
Only use tools for their intended purpose.
8. Wear suitable clothing.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. This may get caught in moving parts. The use of
rubber gloves and non-slip shoes is recommended when working outdoors. Cover your
head to protect long hair.
9. Wear suitable safety goggles.
If necessary, wear eye protection or an anti-dust face mask.
10. Do not mistreat the power cord.
Never carry the tool from the power cord or pull the power cord to unplug it.
Keep the power cord away from heat sources, all liquids and sharp edges.
11. Do not work in an uncomfortable position.
Maintain a logical and balanced working position at all times.
