The plug of the mains cable must be accessible after mounting the unit.
If this is not possible, a phase separator must be installed in the permanent electrical
installation for all poles according to the conditions of overvoltage category III in the
installation regulations.
The fixed electrical installation can only be carried out by a qualified electrician. We
recommend that you install a circuit breaker with differential protection (FI switch) in the
power supply circuit of the unit.
Sharp-edged components inside the unit can cause damage to the connecting cable.
Do not bend or block the connection cable.
This unit complies with the EC anti-parasitic regulations.
The unit corresponds to protection class 1. Thus, it can only be used with an electrical
connection with a protective conductor.
During installation, the unit must not be connected to the power supply network. Make
sure touch protection is provided by mounting.
4.6 Observations regarding installation conditions
Mount the unit in a kitchen cabinet.
For fitting additional special accessories, follow the attached installation instructions.
For optimal steam capture, the unit should be mounted centrally above the hob.
4.7 Observations regarding the ventilation pipe
The manufacturer of the unit does not offer any guarantee in the case of complaints regarding
the route of the exhaust pipes.
Use a short, straight exhaust pipe with as large a diameter as possible.
Long and rough air exhaust pipes with many bends or small diameters reduce the suction
capacity and increase the noise level of the fan.
Do not use air exhaust pipes made of flammable materials.
To prevent recirculation of condensate, install the air intake pipe with an inclination of at
least 1° to the unit.
Round tubes
Use round tubes with an inner diameter of 150 mm (recommended) or at least 120 mm.
Flat channels
Use flat channels whose inner section corresponds to the diameter of the round tube:
The diameter of 150 mm corresponds to a size of approximately 177 cm².
The diameter of 120 mm corresponds to a size of approximately 113 cm².
For diameters deviating from these values, sealing strips must be used.
Do not use flat channels that have sharp bends.
4.8 Indications regarding the mode of operation with air evacuation
A non-return valve must be fitted when operating with air exhaust to prevent the entry
of air and impurities from the outside.
Remarks
If the unit is not equipped with a non-return valve, it can be purchased separately from
specialized stores.
If the exhaust air is led through the outer wall, a channel passing through the wall must be
used, the width of which is equal to its thickness.
4.9 Indications regarding the mode of operation with air recirculation
The unit must only be used installed in a fixed position and with the pipes connected.
