8 MAINTENANCE AND CARE
DANGER! Danger of electric shock!
There is a risk of electric shock when working on
the pump.
Disconnect the mains plug before starting
any fault remedying work.
Faults in the electrical system must be recti-
fied by a qualified electrician.
8.1
Flushing the pump
After conveying swimming pool water containing
chlorine or fluids that leave residues, the pump
must be flushed out with clear water.
8.2
Clean the filter
1. Unscrew filter chamber drain plug (6), drain
the filter chamber and screw in the drain plug
again.
2. Unscrew transparent filter cover (1) using fil-
ter wrench (15).
3. Remove filter (16/17) from filter housing (2)
and clean under running water.
4. Clean filter housing and transparent filter cov-
er.
5. Before installing the filter, check filter seals
(16) and housing seal (20) for damage and
replace, if necessary.
6. Install the filter, screw on the transparent filter
cover and tighten finger-tight using the filter
wrench.
8.3
Cleaning the check valve
1. Remove the filter (see Section "Cleaning the
filter").
2. Unscrew check valve (18) and clean under
running water.
Malfunction
Motor does not run.

Possible cause
No mains power.
Pressure and flow rate are out-
side the normal values, but the
pump continues to run.
3. Replace seal (19), if necessary.
4. Fit check valve.
5. Install filter.

Clean float
1. Unscrew pressure line (8) with elbow nipple
(10) and connecting nipple (12).
2. Unscrew screw-in nipple (21) with seal (22).
Note the installation position of the float. Pull
out the float body and clean it.
3. Install the float again - noting the installation
position (Fig. D).
8.5
Remove blockages
1. Disconnect the pump from the mains supply
and secure to prevent restarting.
2. Disconnect the suction line from the pump in-
let.
3. Connect pressure line to the water line.
4. Allow water to run through the pump housing
until the blockage is removed.
5. Switch on the pump briefly to check that it
runs smoothly.
9 HELP IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION
DANGER! Danger of electric shock!
There is a risk of electric shock when working on
the pump.
Disconnect the mains plug before starting
any fault remedying work.
Faults in the electrical system must be recti-
fied by a qualified electrician.
NOTE In the event of faults that you cannot
rectify, please contact our Customer Service de-
partment.
Remedy
Check fuses, have the power supply
checked by a qualified electrician.
Message appears after 20 s. Pump
attempts to rectify fault itself for 90 s.
No action required. If fault persists
after 90 s, pump switches off to pre-
vent dry running.
