6. BATTERY

a. Changing the battery
Make sure your device is always turned off
before inserting or removing the battery.
To remove the battery, press and hold the
two buttons on the sides of the battery
and gently pull it out. Be sure to insert the
battery correctly so that it clicks into place
at the end. If you do not hear a click, the
battery will not sit properly and may fall
out.
Never use force to insert the battery. The
battery is easy to insert, otherwise it does
not sit properly.
b. Charging the battery
To charge, connect the charger to an AC
outlet. The charging indicator should then
light green. Slide the battery module into
the charger so that the sides of the positive
and negative poles of the two are next to
each other. Markings for the poles can be
found on both the battery and the charger.
Make sure that there is no dirt, dust or
anything else between the charger and the
module. Insert the battery module until it
touches the bottom of the charger.
If it is inserted correctly, the charger light
will change from green to red. When it
lights red, the battery module is charging,
when it lights green again, charging is
complete.
After charging, remove the battery from
the charging station and then disconnect
the charging station from the socket. Com-
plete charging of the battery takes approx.
1.5 - 2 hours.
